A few weeks ago, in a moment of total frustration, I proclaimed to my family that I was sorry I wasn't perfect. My son told me, "Mom, you are perfect enough." That is my new mantra.

Bummer that Mark's feeling badly, but I don't think wanting the day off makes you a bad mom. Hell, even if he's feeling better, maybe it would be fun to give him a day off and the two of you could do something fun together.
